Static

I heard that polishing (like with a buffer) can create static making it easier for dirt to stick. Is that true? i also seen a polishing product that you apply after polishing that reduces this static. Know anything about that?

Everytime I wipe down my car and dust off the microfiber and wipe my car again I get shocked. I think this happen when I wipe down my windows. And I don't polish i just apply ice wax and that's it.
